ITINALAGA si outgoing Education Secretary Leonor Briones bilang Director ng Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for Educational Innovation and Technology (SEAMEO INNOTECH).
Inendorso si Briones ni outgoing President Rodrigo Duterte at itinalaga ni Singapore Education Minister and SEAMEO Council President Mr. Chan Chun Sing.
Epektibo ang kanyang pagkakatalaga sa Agosto 1, 2022.
Binati naman si Briones ng mga opisyal at empleyado ng Department of Education (DepEd) sa kanyang bagong posisyon,
“We greatly appreciate the leadership of Secretary Briones in the Department as we witnessed various accomplishments in attaining accessible and quality basic education during her full six-year term. We are confident that she will continue her plans and platforms in SEAMEO INNOTECH, given her vast experience in public service and international relations,” ayon sa mga opisyal at empleyado sa isang pahayag.
