First Lady to VP Sara: She crossed the line

FIRST Lady Liza Araneta Marcos admitted that she was hurt after Vice President Sara Duterte laughed when the latter’s father accused President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. of being high on drugs at a rally in Davao City last January.

In an interview with broadcaster Anthony Taberna, Araneta-Marcos blatantly said she views the Vice President and Education Secretary negatively.

“She crossed a line,” she lamented.

The First Lady’s dissatisfaction began after Sara attended a rally in Davao City against charter change.

At one point during the rally, former President Rodrigo Duterte said, “Si Bongbong, bangag ‘yan.”

Liza said she saw the Vice President laughed at her father’s jab in one of the video feeds.

“You are getting suweldo (salaries) from the government, you are supposed to be the alter ego (of the president),” the First Lady pointed out.

“That’s not right. That’s entitled politics. You’re in the government. You’re the vice president. Bad shot na ‘yan sa akin, unless she says sorry. She crossed the line,” she added.

“Nasaktan ako, because my husband will do everything to protect you. You ran together, ‘di ba? Sama-sama tayong babangon muli. Pupunta ka sa rally, tatawagan ‘yung presidente mong bangag, you’re going to laugh. Tama ba ‘yun? Even Leni Robredo never did that,” the First Lady stressed.
