NAKABALIK na ang pole vaulter na si Ernest John Obiena sa national team ng Pilipinas matapos itong paboran ng Philippine Athletic Track and Field Association (Patafa).
Mayorya ng Patafa board members ang sumang-ayon sa reinstatement ni Obiena na una nang tinanggal dahil sa isyung unliquidated expenses at hindi umano pagbabayad sa kanyang Ukrainian coach na si Vitaly Petrov.
Sa pahayag ni Patafa executive vice president Willie Torres, isasama na ang pangalan ni Obiena sa listahan ng master list nito na kinabibilangan ng limang atleta.
“We are thankful to the Patafa leadership for taking this step to solidify the strength of our national athletics team,’’ ayon kay PSC Officer-in-Charge at Commissioner Olivia “Bong’’ Coo.
