Former MILF, MNLF fighters urged to focus on needs of countrymen

PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. encouraged former Moro fighters who joined the Philippine National Police (PNP) to be “vigorous in determining the needs of their countrymen.”

Marcos witnessed Monday the graduation of Bangsamoro Police Basic Recruit Course Batch 2023-01 Classes Alpha-Bravo, composed of former fighters from the  Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF), who have now become part of the PNP.

The graduates will be integrated into the PNP and will become patrolmen and women.

“Kayo ang tutulong sa pagsusulat ng isang bagong yugto para sa Bangsamoro. Maging masigasig kayo sa pagtuklas ng pangangailangan ng inyong taumbayan. Sa pamamagitan nito, kayo ay magiging tunay na modelo ng ating mamamayan,” the President said in his speech.

He said the graduates were chosen because of their desire to serve the Bangsamoro and their courage and determination.

“Patuloy na paglinangin ang inyong kakayahan at kasanayan nang tumaas ang kalidad ng inyong serbisyo,” he said.
