Ban on e-bikes, e-trikes stays, but no penalty for violators for now–Marcos

PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ordered the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) to give e-bikes and e-trikes a one-month grace period before imposing the ban on them on national roads.

The President said more time is needed to educate the public about the ban, which will remain in place.

“If they will be apprehended, the purpose is to inform them about the roads they can ply, and remind them about the new policies being enforced to maintain order and safety in the streets.” (GP)
