GENERALLY fair weather with isolated rains will prevail over most parts of the country, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) Monday.
“It will still be hot in the afternoon, with temperatures reaching up to 36 °C in Tuguegarao and 34 °C in Metro Manila,” Obet Badrina of the weather bureau said.
Forecast also showed the temperature in Palawan, Kalayaan Islands, and Davao could reach up to 34°C while Zamboanga’s temperature could reach up to 35°C.
Meanwhile, Badrina said the ridge of a high-pressure area (HPA) extending over the eastern sections of Northern and Central Luzon decreases the chances of rains across the area.
There is also a slim chance of a tropical cyclone to develop this week.
Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will prevail across the archipelago, PAGASA said.
The temperature in Metro Manila will range from 25°C to 34°C; Baguio City, 16°C to 27°C; Laoag City, 26°C to 33C; Legazpi City, 25°C to 31°C; Metro Cebu, 27°C to 31°C; Puerto Princesa City, 26°C to 34°C; and Metro Davao, 24°C to 34°C. (PNA)
