Influencer claims Covid a hoax; challenges gov’t, experts

A social media influencer urged the government and medical experts to take on his four challenges as he alleged that coronavirus is just a hoax.

Dr. Ron Samaniego, a physical therapist, posted a video on his Facebook page ton March 31 asking government to take on his four challenges.

He also urged the government to exempt him and others who do not believe the virus from health protocols, such as the community lockdown and the wearing of face masks.

Samaniego further challenged the government that those who would be given “special authorization” be deprived of medical treatment, should they later test positive for Covid-19.

“Ang binubuwis namin dito, buhay namin. Hindi basta-basta ‘to. Kasi humihingi kami ng freedom. We want our freedom back.

Edi kayo magprove. Kayo nag-aakusa na chismis lang ‘yan, i-prove ninyo na hindi totoo, yan,” he said for his third challenge.

Samaniego, who offered no proof whatsoever, claimed that the purported vaccines that are being distributed in Bacolod, are in fact just vitamins.

For his fourth challenge, Samaniego called upon the government to “stop testing and stop incentivizing Covid testing,” as it would lessen the number of cases.

“For at least two weeks lang.
