THE ‘no vaccine card, no ride’ policy imposed by the Department of Transportation starting today, January 17, 2022 is illegal.
According to Republic Act 11525 or the Philippines’ Vaccination Program Law, requiring vaccination card or vaccination in any private and government transactions is illegal.
Since all the vaccines are experimental and there is no authorization from the World Health Organization that all types of vaccines in use are guaranteed safe and proven to be effective, many are still in doubt to have themselves vaccinated.
But why is the government’s DoTR and Transportation Secretary Tugade is violating the law? Bakit kaya ang gobyerno pa mismo ang lumalabag ng batas na ito?
Hindi lang violation ito ng batas, ito rin ay malinaw na discrimination sa mga kababayan natin na hindi pa bakunado o kaya naman ay hindi pa kumpleto ang vaccination.
Ang no vax, no ride ay anti-poor dahil nakatuon ang policy sa mga mahihirap na nagko-commute using public transportation at hindi yung mga nakasakay sa kotse o private vehicles.
Perwisyo at dagdag gastos din ito sa mga manggagawa na nagko-commute papasok sa trabaho at pauwi sa kanilang tirahan.
Tiyak na maraming magsasampa ng kaso dito sa DoTR at kay Tugade bilang paglabag sa batas.
