GOOD NEWS sa Meralco customers!
Iniutos ng Energy Regulatory Commission sa Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) na ibalik sa mga kostumer nito ang P7.8 bilyon sobrang koleksyon.
Ibig sabihin nito, ang isang residential na kumukonsumo ng 200 kilowatt hour (kWh) ay may balik na 47 sentimo kada kWH o kabuuang P93.
Tiniyak naman ng Meralco na susundin nito ang kautusan ng ERC, at sisimulan nito ang pag-refund ngayong buwan.
“We confirm the receipt of the ERC’s order dated March 8 on the refund of distribution-related charges totaling P7.8 billion,” ayon kay Joe Zaldarriaga, vice president for communications ng Meralco.
“The refund, which is equivalent to P0.47 per kWh for residential customers, will appear as a separate line item in the power bills starting May,” dagdag pa nito.
