Cooking gas prices down on first day of May

RETAILERS have implemented a P1.15 price reduction on liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) following an increase in March.

In an advisory, Petron Corp. said it would cut LPG prices by P1.15 per kilo, or P12.65  for every 11-kilogram cylinder tank, effective 12:01 a.m. today, May 1.

“This reflects the international contract price of LPG for the month of May,” according to its advisory.

Latest data from the Department of Energy (DOE) show that prices of an 11-kilogram cylinder in Metro Manila ranged from P830 to P1,068 during the previous month.

Last month, Petron also announced a P1-rollback per kilo of LPG following a price hike imposed last March.
