HINDI lang sa isa kundi sa apat na events ng 51st FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships sa Liverpool, England, pasok ang pambato ng Pilipinas na si Carlos Edriel Yulo.
Ito ay matapos na makapagtala ng 15.266 score sa floor exercise si Yulo dahilan para pangunahan ang mga qualifiers sa medal round. Pasok din siya sa finals ng vault, parallel bars, at all-around. Noong 2019 si Yulo rin ang nanguna sa Stuttgart, Germany.
“It’s a really good result, but it’s just the qualifying. I’m not being boastful, it’s not the final yet so if I can do it in the final maybe, I will say that I’m satisfied,’’ ayon kay Yulo matapos ang kanyang ginawang routine sa iba’t ibang apparatus sa M&S Bank Arena.
“Right now I’m really glad but not satisfied because there are a lot of areas where I can still improve. Vault was really scary, that’s my first time doing the Ri Se Gwang, so that’s really big for me,’’ dagdag pa ng atleta.
