Klarisse de Guzman’s partner to file charges against netizen

THE partner of singer and Pinoy Big Brother housemate Klarisse de Guzman is planning to take legal action against a netizen who posted an offensive comment during a recent livestream.

Christina Rey, de Guzman’s girlfriend, said she is consulting lawyers after a viewer left a disturbing remark during the PBB Collab livestream on Kapamilya Online Live via YouTube on April 21.

In a screenshot that has since gone viral, the netizen wrote: “Wag ka mag-alala Klang, lapit ka na lumabas. Susunod na mama mo sa papa mo.”

The comment drew widespread outrage from the public, who called it heartless and disrespectful, especially as it referred to de Guzman’s late father and her ailing mother.

“This kind of remark is not only disrespectful but also incredibly cruel, especially given the context involving Klarisse’s parents. No one deserves to be spoken to like this—on a public platform, no less,” Rey said.

She added that the netizen may be liable under several laws, including violations of Article 353 of the Revised Penal Code, Republic Act No. 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act, and Republic Act No. 11313 or the Safe Spaces Act.

“Hindi ako pumapatol sa mga comment ng mga butthurt dyan kasi ang babaw and I even posted last night to still spread kindness, kahit ang sakit for us na makita na ganun situation ni Klang, pero this time you crossed the line. Wala kang karapatan idamay si tito at tita!” Rey said.
