COMEDIENNE Kiray Celis hit back at critics who belittle her online selling business, revealing that she earned P8 million in just six months.
“Ang daming nagko-comment sa akin, ‘Live seller ka na? Hindi ka na artista? Siguro wala kang work.’ Pero hindi n’yo po alam ‘yung nabibigay po ng live selling sa akin,” Kiray said in an interview.
Kiray, who owns a food supplements brand and also sells beauty products, said she quickly recovered her initial investment through hard work and dedication.
“Kailangang masipag ka lang talaga. Since nagpahinga rin ako sa mga taping, dito po ako nag-allot ng time ko,” she shared.
While she’s open to occasional guest appearances, Kiray said her focus will remain on her business for now.
“Magge-guesting-guesting pa naman pero taping na parang mga serye, hindi po muna. I think ito muna ‘yung priority ko,” she said.
Kiray explained that diversifying her income helps support her family, especially after taking in her two nephews following the passing of her sister-in-law.
“Last year nawalan kasi ako ng sister-in-law, so may naiwan po akong dalawang pamangkin na ako na ‘yung naging nanay. Ako na po ang nagpapaaral sa kanila at sa akin po sila nakatira, kaya po mas marami akong responsibilidad,” she said.
