ACTOR Edu Manzano expressed pride and joy after his son, Enzo Manzano, graduated with a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from New York University (NYU).
On Instagram, Edu posted message for Enzo, calling his graduation “an amazing day” for their family.
“[Applause] on achieving this incredible milestone! Your hard work, dedication, and determination have paid off, and we couldn’t be prouder of you,” he wrote. “Completing your master’s degree is a significant achievement, and it’s a testament to your passion and perseverance.”
He also praised Enzo’s strength of character: “We have watched you tackle every challenge with grace and resilience, and we’ve seen you grow into the remarkable person you are today. As you move on to your next adventure, know that we are here to support you and cheer you on every step of the way.”
Enzo first drew public attention in 2020 when he held a solo protest against then-President Rodrigo Duterte in front of the United Nations headquarters in New York City.
Holding placards that read, “Duterte & The Philippine Government Are Taking Away My People’s Basic Rights!” and “Filipinos Can’t Protest So I Hope The World Can See Us Instead,” Enzo voiced concern over what he described as the suppression of dissent in the Philippines under the Duterte administration.
