BINATIKOS ni presidential spokesman Harry Roque si dating Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario na inakusahan si Pangulong Duterte na kumampi sa China sa isyu ng West Philippine Sea.
Iginiit ni del Rosario na “valid and binding” ang 2016 arbitral ruling kaya dapat sumunod ang China at hindi ito isang basura na dapat itapon sa basurahan gaya ng sinabi ni Duterte.
“It is, therefore, a national tragedy that the President of the Philippines takes the side of China and believes that the arbitral ruling is a scrap of paper meant to be thrown in the waste basket, to the severe prejudice of the Filipino people,” ayon sa dating kalihim.
Dagdag niya, tungkulin ni Duterte na protektahan ang West Philippine Sea sa mga mangangamkam nito.
Bilang sagot kay del Rosario, inulit ni Roque ang mga patutsada ni Duterte sa una.
“Sir, it’s you who gave away the Scarborough (Shoal) to China when you ordered the Coast Guard to withdraw when there was a standoff in that area,” ani Roque.
“Stop the finger-pointing. The buck stops with you. You’re the reason why we lost the Scarborough Shoal,” dagdag pa niya.
