ITINANGGI ng Philippine Airlines (PAL) na nakansela ang isang flight papuntang Vancouver, Canada matapos umanong gamitin ang eroplano para sa chartered flight ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos papuntang Davos, Switzerland.
“Philippine Airlines (PAL) wishes to clarify a social media post alleging that a PAL aircraft was reassigned to the Presidential Charter flight for Davos, causing the cancellation of today’s Manila – Vancouver flight,” sabi ng PAL.
Sa isang pahayag, idinagdag ng PAL na nakatakda sana ang flight na papuntang Vancouver nitong Linggo, Enero 15, 2023.
Ayon pa sa PAL, Biyernes pa lang ay nagkansela na ito ng flight dahil sa isyung teknikal.
“Its assigned aircraft – B777 with registry RP-C7773 – is currently grounded for maintenance. Affected passengers were given options based on the Passenger Bill of Rights and were booked on a replacement flight,” dagdag ng PAL.
Niliwanag ng PAL na ibang B-777 ang chartered flight na papuntang Davos at iba ang registry number.
“Charter arrangements for this aircraft were made weeks ago and DID NOT cause the Manila -Vancouver flight cancellation,” dagdag pa ng PAL.
Nakarating na sa Switzerland si Marcos para dumalo sa World Economic Forum sa Davos, Switzerland.
