INAPRUBAHAN ngayong umaga ng bicameral conference committee ang P5.268 trilyong 2023 budget, ayon kay House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
Idinagdag ni Romualdez na suportado ng inaprubahang bersyon ng budget ang eight-point socioeconomic program ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos.
“With this budget, which is the first full-year spending plan proposed by the President, we hope to hasten our economic growth, which should benefit our people,” sabi ni Romualdez.
Nagpulong ang bicam ngayong Lunes ng umaga sa Manila Golf and Country Club sa Makati City para aprubahan ang panukalang General Appropriations Act sa susunod na taon.
Kasabay nito, sinabi ni Romualdez na kumpiyansa siyang maisasabatas ang panukalang budget bago mag-recess ang Kongreso sa Disyembre 17.
“It is the most important tool in accomplishing the objectives of the President’s Agenda for Prosperity and his eight-point socio-economic development plan,” dagdag ni Romualdez.
