NAGBITIW si Food and Drug Administration (FDA) director-general Eric Domingo sa kanyang posisyon epektibo ngayong araw.
Itinalaga si Domingo bilang officer-in-charge ng regulatory office noong Mayo 2019. Makaraan ang isang taon ay ginawa siyang FDA director-general.
“Yes, effective today. I believe I did my part to help during the pandemic. The FDA is now stronger, more efficient and systems are in place. It’s time for me to move on to other things,” aniya sa panayam.
Tinanggap naman ni Health Secretary Francisco Duque ang pagbibitiw ni Domingo.
Itinalaga si FDA deputy director-general Oscar Guiterrez bilang kapalit ni Domingo
“We confirm the resignation of FDA Director General Eric Domingo. Dr. Oscar Guiterrez, Deputy Director General, FDA, was assigned as OIC,” ayon sa DoH.
Matatandaan na sa ilalim ng panunungkulan ni Domingo ay naaprubahan ang emergency use authorization ng siyam na Covid-19 vaccines at dalawang gamot kontra sa nasabing sakit. –WC
