NANGAKO si Leyte Representative Richard Gomez na isusulong niya ang muling pagpapatupad ng bitay sa bansa.
“I am about to file a bill in Congress to strengthen the anti-drug campaign, saka yung isa, to really implement the death penalty on drug trafficking, especially for foreigners who will bring drugs to the country,” sabi ni Gomez sa panayam ng CNN Philippines.
Idinagdag ni Gomez kailangan ng ngipin ang batas para masawata ang ilegal na droga sa bansa.
“It has to be very strong, it has to be very stiff yung penalty, if you really want to curb illegal drugs,” aniya.
