AUTOMATIC na expelled mula sa Partido Demokratiko Pilipino – Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) si Senador at presidential aspirant Manny Pacquiao.
Ito ang inanunsyo ng Cusi-led faction ng administration party nitong Linggo, matapos mag-file ng kanyang kandidatura para sa pagkapangulo si Pacquiao sa ilalim ng Progressive Movement for the Devolution of Initiatives (Promdi) noong Oktubre 1.
Ayon kay Melvin Matibag, Secretary-General ng PDP-Laban, automatic expulsion ang kaparusahan sa sinomang miyembro ng partido na nag-file ng COC gamit ang pangalan ng ibang partido.
Ito anay ay base sa Section 6, Article VII ng Constitution and By-laws ng partido.
“The PDP Laban National Executive Committee met October 1 and a resolution was approved automatically expelling Senator Pacquaio from PDP Laban in accordance with the party constitution,” ayon kay Matibag.
“Senator Pacquiao claims that he is the legitimate President of PDP Laban and even called his own National Assembly where he accepted their so-called proclamation as presidential candidate and yet he is running for president under PROMDI. Let’s call a spade a spade. If that is not disloyalty, betrayal, and abandonment of PDP Laban, I don’t know what is,” dagdag pa nito.
