MAS epektibong panlaban sa COVID-19 kung ibang brand ang gagamitin sa second booster shot, ayon sa Department of Health.
Sinang-ayunan ni Health Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje, head ng National Vaccination Operations Center, ang naging rekomendasyon ng Vaccine Expert Panel (VEP) na gamitin ang ibang brand sa pagtuturok sa ikalawang booster ng COVID-19 vaccine.
“A different brand will be more effective because it tries to give additional protection outside of the regular or the homologous primary booster,” paliwanag ni Cabotaje sa panayam ng ABS-CBN News Channel ngayong Biyernes.
“They are thinking that it will have a better effect, it’s a complementary effect to the original vaccine doses that have been given,” dagdag pa ng opisyal.
Gayunman, paglilinaw ni Cabotaje, na rekomendasyon pa lamang ito at wala pang pinal na desisyon ang pahalaan ukol dito.
