INANUSYO ni Pangulong Duterte ang posibilidad na ibalik ang mas istriktong mga restrictions bunsod ng pagkalat ng Delta variant ng Covid-19 sa bansa.
Inisyu ni Duterte ang warning sa kanyang Talk to the People address Lunes ng gabi makaraan iulat ng Department of Health na mayroon nang 35 kaso ng Delta variant sa bansa kung saan 11 ay local cases.
Sa bilang ay tatlo ang namatay –isang tripulante noong Mayo 19, isang 78-anyos na babae noong Mayo 30, at isang 58-anyos na babae noong Hunyo 28.
“The reported local cases in the country is a call for serious alarm and concern,” ani Duterte. “We may need to reimpose stricter restrictions to avoid mass gatherings and avoid super spreader event.”
“This is more vicious. It’s more aggressive and fatal,” sabi ng Pangulo. “I urge the DILG (Department of Interior and Local Government) to impose existing restrictions with greater urgency.”
