Ano ang konkreto nyong plano para mapalalim pa ang kalakalan ng UK at Pilipinas na magbubukas ng mahahalagang pagkakataon sa ekonomiya ng bansa?

This time, mas naaliw at na-curious ako sa sagot ni Locsin nasa English, largely in full para buo ang context.
“I have just recently spoken with our defense, the Philippine defense establishment and this I know when I met my foreign office here, etcetera, and I said:
“I’d like to focus on what the president last said and that he wants a very strong land army.
“Because that is what Filipinos are good at. We don’t get aid from the United States, we don’t get any aid.
“But we have fought every war successfully. Communist insurgency, Muslim secession, all of that.
(TC 2:54) “But I witnessed our cooperation with British SAS (Special Air Service). Oh! I cannot mention that! (3:00). Anyway, it was a complete success, that operation.
“We have natural affinity for combat.
“So that is what I want to work on.
“Because when you deal with military matters, you’re talking to people who can deliver.
“But here, when you talk defense, that’s sovereign to sovereign.
“The principal function of sovereignty is defense.
“So am gonna really focus on that.”
So tanong ko, refering to timecoded sentence, meron bang successful na joint operation ang UK at Pilipinas na hindi ko alam, hindi natin alam?
Nadulas si Locsin, tinuloy ang kwento pero hindi nagbigay ng detalye.
Pero nag-iwan sa akin ng maraming tanong:
If so, ano yung joint operation na yun, ano ang saklaw, saan, sino/ano ang target, may damages/ casualties ba, bakit successful, ano measure/indicators ng success? Sino ang mas nakinabang?
Ano ang implikasyon, epekto o ibig sabihin nito sa Pilipinas at regional defense at security?

May dalawang entries na related:

Yung una ay balita sa Philippine News Agency (PNA) nito lang February 4 at yung pangalawa ay lumabas sa Gov.UK noon namang May 10, 2019.
Yung unang entry ay pagpapalawig ng ugnayan sa land domain training at education.
Sabi ng Philippine Army (PA) spokesperson Xerxes Trinidad, na-awardan ang PA team na Scout Rangers ng Silver Medal sa pre-pandemic Exercise Cambrian Patrol (Ex-CP) 2019 na ginanap sa Wales, UK.
Ang Ex-CP ang sinasabing premier patrolling excercise na pinahuhusay ang kanilang operational capabilities.
Ito ba ang binabanggit na operation? Wala namang problema para sa akin.
Pero bakit hindi kailangan banggitin ni Locsin na ang datingan ay covert o palihim ang ginawang joint operation? Unless na chuma-charot lang siya.
Yung pangalawa naman ay joint cooperation din pero ito ay Trauma Risk Management Training o pagsasanay para sa pagresponde sa mga PA soldiers na na-trauma sa bakbakan.
Ka-partner ng PA ang British Royal Navy/Royal Marines hindi ang British Special Air Service.
So mukhang walang konek.
Ang SAS kasi ay parte ng British Army, at pinakasikat na special forces unit nila sa buong mundo.
Ayon sa Elite UK Forces, ang trabaho nila: counter-terrorist assaults at covert o palihim na operations sa Northern Ireland.
Na-assign sila sa Iraq kasama ang US at iba pang bansa para hantingin ang Al-Qaeda leaders
Unang impression ko dahil Special Air Service nga, e konektado sa airforce kaya naisip ko bakit PA ang ipapartner.

Pinakalantad na operasyon ng SAS yung 1980 Iranian Embassy Siege, nag-aresto sila ng 2 hinihinalang war criminals sa 1997 Operarion Tango sa Bosnia, pag-atake sa Taliban base sa 2001 Operation Trent sa kabundukan ng Afghanistan at marami pang iba.
In short, hindi sila mabangis, hindi rin maangas ang credentials kaya hindi sila nakakatakot:)
Kaya kung susuriin, hindi simple at hindi legit ang joint operation na pinagsamahan ng ating army at ng British SAS.
Ang malinaw sa akin, marching orders ni Marcos Jr kay Locsin ang palakasin ang army natin.
Ang isa pang sensitibo sa ibinalita ng PNA nitong February, kinabahan ako dahil nag-appoint ang British Embassy ng resident defense attache sa Pilipinas galing sa Brunei.
Bakit defense attache dito? Ano ang pangangailangan nyan dito? Magbibigay nh advise? Mabilis na command? O palitan ng intel reports?
Ayon sa balita, ang pagbabagong yan ay base sa 2021 Integrated Review of Foreign and Security Policy na nag-shift sila ng strategic direction sa Indo-Pacific region.
Ganunpaman, hindi yan nalalayo sa planong pagpapalakas ng Philippine Army sa pamamagitan ng pagpartner sa British SAS.
Ang British shift sa Indo-Pacific ay tumugma rin sa pagsentro muli ng US government sa Indo-Pacific region mula nung inanunsyo ng Biden administration ang bagong strategy para sa “free and open Indo-Pacific region eme nung February 11, 2022.
Apparently, talagang iigting ang tension sa region na ito at nasalang na naman ang Pilipinas sa delikadong laro ng superpowers.
