THE tandem of presidential candidate Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos and his running mate vice-presidential candidate Sara ‘Inday’ Duterte-Carpio emerge as top choices of leaders that rank-and-file workers in all industries think can lead the country out of the pandemic crises we are all in.
This was the result of series of consultations conducted by the country’s largest labor group, the Trade Union Congress of the Philippines (TUCP).
Dahil dito, inaasahan na bukas Martes o Miyerkules gaganapin ang endorsement ng TUCP kina BBM at Sara kabilang na ang 12 senatorial candidates na susuportahan ng labor group ngayong May 2022 national elections.
The choice was the majority decision from workers from the major industries such as those in service, agriculture and manufacturing sectors located in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao after a series of online and hybrid face to face and combined caucuses were conducted beginning last year towards this month.
I attended the said caucuses and I saw the very wide vote advantage of Mr. Marcos and Ms. Duterte-Carpio from their respective opponents. And it happened in all caucuses that held separately in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
The union members were made to choose among aspirants Marcos and Duterte-Carpio; Leni Robredo and Kiko Pangilinan; Isko Moreno and Doc Willie Ong; Panfilo Lacson and Tito Sotto; and Manny Pacquiao and Lito Atienza.
