Kinumpirma ni Department of Transportation (DoTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade ang pagkamatay ni Berroya.
“It is with profound sadness and sorrow that we bid adieu to one of the most courageous and dedicated public servant and defender of the Republic, Gen. Reynaldo Berroya (Ret.), Administrator of the Light Rail Transport Authority (LRTA),” sabi ni Tugade.
Hindi naman nabanggit ni Tugade ang sanhi ng pagkamatay ni Berroya.
“On behalf of the entire staff, officers and sectors of the Department of Transportation (DOTr), and also of my own family, I convey my utmost condolonces and solicitude to the family and loved ones left behind by Gen Berroya,” dagdag ni Tugade sa isang Facebook post.
