TIGIL muna ang pagpaparehistro ng mga botante sa Metro Manila at sa mga lalawigan ng Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna at Rizal habang nasa ilalim ito ng enhanced community quarantine.
“Due to the re-imposition of ECQ, work in COMELEC offices in NCR Plus including filing/reception of applications for voter registration and other registration services shall be suspended from March 29 to 31, 2021,” pahayag ni Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez sa kanyang Twitter account.
Wala ring magaganap na pagpaparehistro sa Abril 1 hanggang 2, dagdag pa ng opisyal.
Ginawa ang suspension isang linggo matapos magpatupad ang ahensiya ng shorter vorter registration hours dahil sa patuloy na pagtaas ng COVID-19 cases sa bansa.
