PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has instructed government agencies to implement energy conservation measures.
The directive was issued by PBBM following National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP)’s declaration of Red and Yellow Alerts on the Luzon Grid.
The president emphasized the importance of everyone working together during these times to ensure a stable supply of electricity in the coming days.
Marcos then urged everyone to conserve electricity and collectively face the challenges amidst the ongoing threat of the heat index and El Niño phenomenon.
Meanwhile, he also directed the Department of Energy (DOE) to intensify monitoring and address the situation. (Gilbert Perdez)
