PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed Hans Leo Cacdac, who previously served as Undersecretary of the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), to lead the department.
Cacdac’s appointment came seven months after he assumed the role of officer-in-charge, following the passing of former secretary Susan “Toots” Ople last August
Prior to his appointment in the Cabinet, Cacdac held several key positions within the government, including Executive Director V of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Executive Director V of the Philippine Employment Administration (POEA), and Undersecretary of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
He was also Deputy Executive Director V of the POEA, Executive Director IV of the National Conciliation Mediation Board-DOLE, and Director IV of the Bureau of Labor Relations-DOLE. (GP)
