THE country will continue to experience fair and humid weather, with high temperatures forecast in several areas on Friday.
“Aside from humid weather, isolated rain showers are also likely in the afternoon or evening,” Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forecaster Aldczar Aurelio said.
The easterlies and localized thunderstorms will cause isolated rain showers across the archipelago.
Temperatures could reach 38°C in Tuguegarao; 37°C in Metro Manila; and 35°C in Zamboanga and Davao.
Heat indices, or what the temperature feels like to the human body when relative humidity is combined with the air, ranging from 42°C to 45°C are forecast in the following areas:

A heat index of 46°C is expected in Aparri, Cagayan and Aborlan, Palawan, and 47°C in Dagupan City, Pangasinan.
Under heat index danger levels of 41°C to 51°C, heat cramps and heat exhaustion are likely.
