‘Habagat’ continues to affect western Luzon

THE southwest monsoon, locally known as “habagat”, will continue to affect the western section of Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) bared on Sunday.

In its 4 a.m. forecast, the weather bureau said Palawan province will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon.

Metro Manila, Batanes Islands, Zambales, Bataan, Ilocos Region, Calabarzon and the rest of Mimaropa region will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned the public against possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The whole archipelago will continue to have light to moderate winds, and slight to moderate seas.

Temperature in Metro Manila will range from 25°C to 33°C; Baguio City, 18°C to 24°C; Laoag City, 26°C to 32C; Legazpi City, 26°C to 33°C; Metro Cebu, 26°C to 33°C; Puerto Princesa City, 25°C to 32°C; and Metro Davao, 25°C to 33°C. (PNA)
