BOLUNTARYONG tinanggal ng kampo ng singer na si Shaira sa mga digital streaming platforms gaya ng Spotify at Apple Music ang hit song niyang “Selos” makaraan itong ireklamo ng copyright infringement ng may-ari ng melody na si Lenka, ang Australian singer-songwriter.
Sa official statement, humingi rin ng paumanhin ang AHS Productions, ang kumpanya na namamahala kay Shaira, sa publiko sa pangyayari.
Ayon sa AHS Productions, nakikipag-usap na sila sa record company ni Lenka para legal nitong magamit ang musika sa kantang “Trouble is a Friend” ng Australian artist.
“We are still making arrangements with regards to the legality of the publication of the song. We have chosen to take it down from all platforms pending our agreement with the original artist’s management on securing a cover license for ‘Selos,” pahayag ng AHS Productions.
“As most of you may know, the melody that we have used is originally from a song entitled ‘Trouble is a Friend’ by Lenka and as of the moment, we are already in contact with her team for us to make ‘Selos’ an official cover,” dagdag nito.
Nagpasalamat naman ang kumpanya sa mga tumangkilik ng “Selos” ng “Queen of Bangsamoro Pop.”
“We hope that when time comes and we will be re-uploading the song, you will show her the same love and acceptance,” sambit pa nito.
