NETIZENS had a field day editing a photo of three female senators to make them appear as bridesmaids in social media personality Zeinab Harake’s recent wedding.
In an image shared by Facebook group Homepaslupa Buddies, Senators Nancy Binay, Grace Poe, and Risa Hontiveros, wearing red impeachment robes, were digitally inserted next to Zeinab and her entourage, who also wore red gowns.
“Congrats, Zeinab Harake,” read the caption of the now-viral meme.
The edit caught attention as the senators’ robes closely resembled the wedding motif.
The original photo was taken during the Senate’s impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte, where the three lawmakers, along with Senate Minority Leader Koko Pimentel and Senator Win Gatchalian, opposed a motion by Senator-judge Alan Peter Cayetano to amend another motion by Senator-judge Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa seeking to junk the trial.
Zeinab tied the knot with Filipino-American basketball player Bobby Ray Parks Jr. on June 1.
