TULUYAN nang sinibak ng Jose Rizal University basketball team ang suspendido nitong manlalaro na si John Amores matapos ang “panghaharabas” nito sa apat na miyembro ng College of Saint Benilde sa NCCA game noong nakaraang linggo.
Naglabas ng pahayag ang JRU at sinabi nito na opisyal nang hindi kasama sa kanilang team ang kontrobersyal na player.
Sinuspinde rin ng JRU ang manlalaro sa mga klase nito at inatasan na mag-community service base na rin sa rules na ipinatutupad ng paaralan na nakasulat sa student manual.
“Contingent with this action: (i) all privileges accruing to Mr. Amores as a student-athlete have been canceled; and (ii) based on the Student Manual of the University, he has been further meted out the penalty of suspension from his classes and has been required to undergo community service,” sabi ng JRU.
“Mr. Amores will also be provided counseling and help to cope with the strain of what has taken place in his young life.”
