VETERAN Actress Ynez Veneracion has responded to comments about her appearance, saying she’s perfectly fine not looking her best on screen as long as she looks good in person.
In a recent interview, Ynez shared that she often hears mixed reactions about her looks from people who meet her during public events.
“Bakit masyadong big deal ’yung pagpapaayos, pagpapaganda?” she admitted. “Kahit naman sino gumagawa niyan. Hindi lang naman ako ang nagparetoke.”
She said that she’s heard fans comment about how different she looks in person.
Ynez recalled a recent motorcade where some fans didn’t hold back.
Bakla ’to, e! Naku, pa-picture tayo!’”
She said that many who meet her in person say she looks like a Barbie doll or a real-life mannequin. Unless plastikada sila!”
But Ynez is unfazed. “Mas gusto ko ’yun—’yung hindi ka kagandahan sa TV, pero dyosa ka sa personal,” she said.
