KAPUSO actress and beauty queen Winwyn Marquez has officially closed the chapter on her pageant journey following her first runner-up finish at the Miss Universe Philippines 2025 pageant.
In an interview after the coronation night held on May 2 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, Winwyn confirmed that this would be her last competition.
“This is my last [pageant]. I love you guys. This is my last, yeah. That’s for sure,” she said.
Wimwyn expressed satisfaction with the results. “Who would’ve thought? Now a mother, first runner-up at Miss Universe Philippines? That’s good feedback already,” she said.
With her pageant journey over, she plans to focus on her family. “I spent so much time here. I sacrificed time with my family, and I think it’s time to give back,” she said.
“I’ve done my job. I’ve lived a dream already, and I hope I inspired others to go after what they want without regrets.”
Winwyn first joined Binibining Pilipinas in 2015, where she made it to the Top 15. She competed in Miss World Philippines in 2017, winning the Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas title. She later became the first Filipina to win the Reina Hispanoamericana crown in Bolivia that same year.
