Matapos ang mahigit isang buwan na pananahimik, nagsalita na ang singer-songwriter na si Unique hinggil sa mga isyung isa umano siyang sexual predator at hindi nagbayad ng bill sa isang telecom company.
Ayon kay Unique, Unique Torralba Salonga sa totoong buhay, “misleading and false” ang mga akusasyon at ginawa lang ang mga ito para dumihan ang kanyang image at brand.
Nitong Agosto ay kumalat sa mga social media sites ang screenshots ng umano’y pag-uusap ni Unique at isang menor de edad.
Base sa viral post, kinukumbinse ni Unique ang 15-anyos na fan na manood ng kanyang mga gigs at makipag-date sa kanya.
Naganap umano ang convo noong 2018 noong miyembro pa si Unique ng bandang IV of Spades.
Tumanggi naman ang menor de edad sa umano’y pamimilit ng singer.
Burado na ang orihinal na post ng “biktima” pero ilang netizens ang nakapag-save at nakapag-screenshot nito.
Samantala, ipinost naman sa Twitter ng ex-girlfriend ni Unique ang billing statement mula sa isang telecom company na pinababayad niya sa singer.
Ayon kay Chy Lumagbas, 2020 pa ang utang pero hanggang ngayong taon ay hindi pa rin ito binabayaran ni Unique.
Iginiit ni Lumagbas na si Unique ang gumamit nito kahit nakapangalan sa kanya ang account.
Nagpatutsada pa ang babae na “karma” lamang lahat ng pinagdadaanan ngayon ni Unique.
Todo-tanggi naman ang singer sa mga isyu na binabato sa kanya at nagbantang kakasuhan ang mga naninira sa kanya.
Ito ang statement ng singer:
“Recently, statements have been circulated online imputing that I have committed improper activities.”
“These imputations are misleading and false, and I will not dignify these scurrilous statements by further discussing or elaborating on them.”
“However, it appears that some people are using these statements and propagating them on social media, as a blatant platform to defame me and my reputation.”
“I have consulted with O/C Records, my management company, and the consensus is that legal action will be taken should detractors continue to damage my brand and reputation.”
“While some of the defamatory statements have since been deleted, every post has been properly documented & collected, and will be submitted to the authorities for investigation.”
“With fairness, integrity and due process, the allegations will be addressed in the proper legal forum, to include possible actions for libel and violation of the Cybercrime Law.”
“While O/C Records and I respect freedom of expression, the same should be directed towards meaningful discussion and constructive criticism, not used to hurl imputations that harm, cancel & damage people.”
