PINABULAANAN ng Department of Justice (DOJ) na nawawala ang rape case folder ng actor-comedian na si Vhong Navarro.
Ayon kay Prosecutor General Benedicto Malcontento, intact at hindi nawawala ang rekord sa kaso.
“No. Just tracing it because it was under petition for review. When it was located, it contained numerous pages. The paging must be indicated in the transmittal,” paliwanag ni Malcontento.
Idinagdag ng opisyal na ipinadala ang folder ni Navarro sa Taguig City Prosecutors Office base sa kautusan ng Court of Appeals (CA).
“Folder was transmitted to OCP Taguig last Friday. Records of the case still intact. Parties need not worry,” ayon pa kay Malcontento.
Matatandaan na inihayag kamakailan ni Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, abogado ng complainant na si Deniece Cornejo, na hindi na mahagilap ang case folder ni Navarro.
Nitong July 21 ay naglabas ng desisyon ang 14th Division ng Court of Appeals na pinapaboran ang petition for review na inihain ni Deniece noong 2014.
Kinasuhan ni Cornejo si Navarro ng rape at acts of lasciviousness.
