PARA sa batikang aktor na si Jaime Fabregas, mas mabuting turuan ang kabataan na mahalin ang Pilipinas imbes na ibalik ang Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) sa college.
“Teach the children to love their country and you won’t need to send them to ROTC! They will defend HER with everything they have!!,” tweet ni Fabregas.
Hindi naman ito nagustuhan ng starlet na si RR Enriquez na sinabing hindi sapat ang nasyonalismo para ipagtanggol ang bansa.
“Excuse me Sir!! I agree with you by teaching children to love your country. But loving your country is not enough…If you don’t know how to fight, how can you defend your country??” paninita ni RR.
“If magkaroon ng giyera your love won’t defend you… And hindi porke’t walang gulo or walang giyera sa ngayon. Magpapaka-complacent na tayo,” dagdag ng dating dancer sa TV show na “Wowowie.”
Naisingit pa ni RR ang karakter ni Cardo Dalisay ng “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” sa kanyang sagot kay Fabregas na gumaganap naman bilang Lolo Delfin sa nasabing teleserye.
“Hindi po tayo katulad ni Cardo (Dalisay) na hindi mamatay-matay… Ibahin po natin ang pelikula na madalas ginagawa n’yo na hindi kayo mamatay-matay,” ayon dito.
