PINOY Big Brother: Gen 11 Big Winner Fyang Smith drew both praise and criticism from netizens after performing Sarah Geronimo’s hit song “Kilometro” during her solo album launch and fan meet at the New Frontier Theater on Sunday, June 22.
Some supporters rallied behind Fyang’s rendition, calling her the “next Sarah G.”
“Ito ang papalit kay Sarah,” one fan commented.
But others quickly dismissed the comparison.
“Respeto naman kay Sarah G,” one netizen wrote.
“Fyang??? Next to Sarah? No. Kilometrong layo,” another said.
“Marami ka pang kakaining bigas, dae,” a comment read.
Several also criticized what they claimed was a lip-synced performance.
“’Pag wala kayong respeto sa sarili niyo, respetuhin niyo naman si Sarah G. Nakalip-sync na nga, bumibitaw pa,” another user said.
Others were more blunt.
