ACTRESS Nadine Samonte faced criticism from netizens over the gown she wore while walking the runway for designer Norman Acuba at Milan Fashion Week.
Nadine donned a black modern Filipiniana during the Western Paris Vendôme show, but some online commenters found the dress unremarkable.
“Sorry, but plenty of rental gowns look better than this one,” one critic wrote.
Another added, “The dress is drab,” while a third compared it to a santacruzan ensemble, saying, “Reyna Emperatriz.”
Supporters, however, quickly defended Nadine.
“Dapat maging proud and happy na lang tayo for her,” one fan said.
Another pointed out, “Small or big, branded or not, it’s still an achievement. Congrats to her!”
Meanwhile, another clapped back at critics: “FW is for everyone. Hindi lahat nagsimula sa taas!”
