CHRISTOPHE Bariou defended his girlfriend, actress Nadine Lustre, from online attacks after she supported the arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte by the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Bariou, a businessman, posted screenshots of comments from netizens cursing Lustre and threatening her with harm.
“Imagine if your girlfriend, wife, sister, mother, or daughter were publicly threatened with r*pe simply for expressing her opinion,” he wrote, expressing disbelief at the vitriol directed at Lustre.
He also called out women who participated in the online attacks. “So much for Women’s Month,” he said.
The actress earlier shared a post originally published by a news website, which featured an image of a checklist with the phrase “Collect them all” across it.
Included in the list were names of international leaders such as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and former President Duterte.
The implication of the post was that these figures are facing—or have faced—legal action from international courts, with Duterte’s name added as someone supposedly “captured” by the ICC.
Nadine is a known Kakampink.
