INATASAN ni Pangulong Duterte ang Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) na kasuhan ang sangkot sa overpricing at hoarding, partikular sa mga lugar na sinalanta ng Bagyong Odette.
“There seems to be a spike in the prices. They say that some, not all, are hoarding and you know that it — you increase the price by selling more than the usual price of — for example, building materials, or even food stocks, canned goods. They are getting to be more expensive for the people,” sabi ni Duterte sa kanyang Talk to the People.
Ayon kay Duterte, may kapangyarihan ang Philippine National Police (PNP) na hulihin ang mga sangkot sa ilegal na aktibidad.
“So nandito ka man, tell us if there has been a violation or violations during this time because we can identify them and the Philippine National Police, we will ask them to arrest the hoarders and people who are taking advantage of the situation,” ayon pa kay Duterte.
