NAIS ng tatlong senador na tanggalan ng pondo ang National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) dahil sa pagre-red tag nito sa mga community pantry organizers.
Sa tweet, sinabi ni Sen. Joel Villanueva na nabuwisit siya nang ikumpara ni NTF-ELCAC spokesperson Lt. Gen. Antonio Parlade Jr. si Anna Patricia Non, ang organizer ng Maginhawa community pantry, kay Satanas.
“Oh my! We should move to defund NTF-ELCAC in the next budget. Sayang lang pera ng taong bayan,” aniya. “Reallocate the current P19 billion budget for ayuda. Mas kailangan ito ng taumbayan kaysa sa mga ganitong kalokohan!”
Sinegundahan naman siya ni Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian.
“I agree bro. If these are the kind of people who will spend hard earned taxpayer’s money, then it’s not worth it,” ani Gatchalian.
Noong Miyerkules, sinabi ni Sen. Nancy Binay na rerebisahin niya ang budget ng nasabing task force.
“Right now for me, budget season is coming. I will really make sure that we’ll be addressing the budget for the NTF-ELCAC. Maybe, it’s high-time that we really review their budget,” ani Binay.
May P19 bilyon pondo ang task force sa ilalim ng 2021 budget kung saan P16.4 bilyon dito ay nakalaan sa barangay development programs.
