NIRESBAKAN ng kampo ni Vice President Leni Robredo si Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio na sinabing itigil na ng una ang pamumulitika at pagsawsaw sa Covid situation sa Davao City dahil wala itong alam sa nagaganap doon.
Ayon sa tagapagsalita ni Robredo na si Barry Gutierrez, walang halong politika sa komento ng bise presidente nang sabihin nito na may matututuhan ang Davao City sa pagtugon ng Cebu City sa pandemya.
“I don’t see what the problem is. Why so defensive, why immediately jump to, ‘Let’s meet in the elections’?” ani Gutierrez.
Sa kalatas ay sinabi ni Carpio na dapat tantatanan ni Robredo ang paggamit sa paglobo ng Covid-19 cases sa Davao City sa kanyang mga pamomolitika.
“There will be a proper time to attack my performance as an LCE (local chief executive) in this pandemic if she dares to run for president,” dagdag ng alkalde.
“Mayor Duterte has been saying she’s not running. Why all of a sudden she’s saying that ‘We should meet in the elections’? Is that an indirect way of saying that after all her protestations, she in fact is vying a run for president in 2022?,” dagdag ni Gutierrez.
“After all, there are, you know, Run Sara Run posters all over the place,” aniya pa.
Ipinaliwanag ni Gutierrez na marami nang iminungkahi si Robredo ukol sa pagtugon sa pandemya pero hindi nakikinig ang mga tauhan ni Pangulong Duterte.
“She has consistently attempted to forward her suggestions to the Department of Health, the IATF, DepEd, on a variety of issues related to the pandemic,” ani Gutierrez.
“But they never listen to her, and despite all the work that she’s done, they insist that she’s politicking. Who’s politicking?” dagdag niya.
Pinunto niya na si Carpio at ang tagapagsalita ng ama nitong si Harry Roque ang nagbanggit ng eleksyon at hindi si Robredo.
“So it’s clear where the politicking is coming from here,” hirit ni Gutierrez.
