PBBM has no plans to resign: ‘Bakit ko gagawin ’yon?’

PRESIDENT Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Tuesday firmly rejected calls for him to step down, saying he has no intention of abandoning his post amid criticism of his directive for Cabinet members to submit courtesy resignations.

“I will resign? Bakit ko gagawin ’yon?” the President told reporters in Kuala Lumpur on May 27. “Wala sa ugali ko ang tinatakbuhan ang problema.”

He added: “So, what good will that do?”

The statement came in response to remarks made by former executive secretary Vic Rodriguez, who criticized Marcos’ recent move to request courtesy resignations from his Cabinet.

Marcos has not publicly addressed Rodriguez’s comments but emphasized his resolve to face challenges head-on.
