PINALAGAN ni ACT Teachers party-list Rep. France Castro ang panawagan ni Cagayan De Oro Rep. Rufus Rodriguez na i-abolish na ang Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG).
Iginiit ni Castro na imbes na buwagin, dapat anyang higit pa itong palakasin.
“Yes, the PCGG has its faults, but it was still able to recover P174.2 billion in Marcos ill-gotten wealth as of the end of 2020. Now it still has to go after P125.9 billion more,” sabi ni Castro.
Nauna nang ipinanukala ni Rodriguez na napapanahong lusawin na ang PCGG.
“It took more than 35 years to do this but of course the Marcos family fought to retain these ill-gotten wealth every step of the way. So, it is imperative that the PCGG is revitalized and strengthened now especially since another Marcos is in Malacanang,” aniya.
