WELCOME kay Pangulong Duterte ang naging hakbang ng Senado nang kuwestyunin nito sa Korte Suprema ang naging kautusan niya na pagbawalan ang mga miyembro ng Gabinete na dumalo sa imbestigasyon kaugnay ng kontrobersiyal na kontrata sa Pharmally.
“We welcome this move of bringing the legality of the memorandum to the Supreme Court and we would like to congratulate the members for realizing, albeit late — ibig sabihin even late — that it is the court which should eventually decide on the constitutionality of the order and we will defend it,” sabi ni Duterte sa kanyang Talk to the People nitong Lunes.
Nauna nang nagpalabas ang Palasyo ng kautusan na kung saan pinagbabawalan ang mga miyembro ng Ehekutibo na dumalo sa ginagawang imbestigasyon ng Senate Blue Ribbon Committee.
“But we are not saying that we are the best mind here. It’s a question of law — an issue of law and you know it could either go either way. You win, you lose. But ang maganda is ang Supreme Court dalhin mo doon kasi doon talaga magtapos itong — my disagreement with the Blue Ribbon Committee because of their behavior and the way they treated,” ayon pa kay Duterte.
