NANGANGANIB na matanggal si Sen. Manny Pacquiao bilang presidente ng ruling PDP-Laban sa gaganaping national council meeting sa Hulyo 16 at national assembly sa Hulyo 17.
Sa isang panayam, sinabi ni PDP-Laban deputy secretary general Melvin Matibag na inaasahang aaksyunan ang mosyon noong Mayo 31 para sibakin sina Pacquiao at party executive director Reynold Munsayac sa kanilang pwesto.
Kasabay nito, iginiit ni Matibag na iligal ang ginawang pagtanggal sa kanya at kina Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi at Astra Naik sa partido.
Si Cusi ang vice president ng PDP-Laban at member committee head naman si Naik.
“Our expulsion violates our bylaws as the national executive council has no disciplinary authority especially that committee was only created by Senator Pacquiao,” aniya.
“Our bylaws are clear, article seven, the act of disciplining a member should be done by the chapter where a member is included and as officials of PDP, it is only the national council which can expel us, via vote of two thirds,” dagdag ng opisyal. –WC
