NANAWAGAN si Pangulong Bongbong Marcos sa Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) na patuloy na gumawa ng hakbang para matiyak ang kapayapaan at seguridad ng bansa, sa pagsasabing kabilang ang mga ito sa prayoridad ng kanyang administrasyon.
“My marching guidance has always remained constant: we commit to the cause of peace. The security and stability of the country remains the priority,” sabi ni Marcos sa kanyang talumpati sa ika-87 anibersaryo ng AFP sa Camp Emilio Aguinaldo.
“I call on you to continue performing your duties as you have had for many, many years, and competently, so that our country can achieve peace and security, and sustain economic prosperity,” dagdag ni Marcos.
Kasabay nito, muling tiniyak ni Marcos na patuloy na isusulong ng kanyang administrasyon ang modernisasyon ng AFP.
Pinuri rin ni Marcos ang AFP sa matagumpay na kampanya kontra mga komunistang rebelde at iba pang lawless elements sa bansa.
“Through your efforts, along with other law enforcement authorities and government agencies, we now see a significant decline in their numbers. And [with] that, you have helped pave the way for development to foster and for communities to live in peace,” dagdag ni Marcos.
