ITINALAGA ni Pangulong Duterte si Police Lt.Gen. Guillermo Eleazar bilang bagong Chief ng Philippine National Police (PNP) kapalit nang magreretirong si General Debold Sinas.
Kinumpirma ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque ang pagkakahirang kay Eleazar.
“We confirm that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has signed the appointment of PLTGEN Guillermo Eleazar as the new chief of the Philippine National Police,” sabi ni Roque.
“Gen. Eleazar’s track record of professionalism, dedication and integrity speaks for itself. We are therefore confident that he will continue the reform initiatives of his predecessors and lead the police organization to greater heights,” dagdag ni Roque.
Nakatakdang magretiro si Sinas bilang PNP Chief sa Mayo 8 sa kanyang ika-56 na kaarawan.
